DAVID PAYNE

CONSULTANT

David has a Bsc Hons Degree in Renewable Energy Systems from the University of South Wales. Previous roles include Lead Operation and Maintenance Engineer at Sony UK Technology Centre, as well as being part of their Process Improvement Team.  He also holds an Advanced Omron PLC Programming and Wiring qualification and has international competency in Explosive Atmospheres accredited by the IECEx.

At Aardvark David works on the design of schematics, planning and permitting drawings using AutoCAD systems, while also carrying out audits of AD plants using HAZOP and HAZID reporting methods and providing technical experience on projects.

Additionally, as Head of Engineering for Qube Renewables Ltd, one of Aardvark’s sister companies, David has focussed a lot of time on Process and Software Engineering for their small scale, innovative anaerobic digestion systems.

Through his interest in software, Aardvark’s latest sister company Zebra EM Ltd has been created, developing cloud based monitoring and reporting platforms for business, data, operations and carbon accounting.

He has now also received professional recognition as an Incorporated Engineer (Ieng).
