Aardvark Project wins Green Apple Award
The Liverpool ONE, Grosvenor Fund Management’s shopping centre has been presented a National Gold Award at the Green Apple Awards held by the Green Association for the biodiesel project set up by Aardvark EM Limited.
The project takes used vegetable oil from the restaurants situated around the centre and processes it into Biodiesel to be re-used by the cleaning and maintenance vehicles on site.
Chris Bliss, the Estate Director at Liverpool ONE was delighted with the award and said this was a result of “a huge team effort and a fantastic result”.
Chris Taite, fund manager of the Grosvenor Liverpool Fund added "This should encourage all of us to keep coming up with the ideas and following them through".
Aardvark is now working with the Liverpool ONE team and Grosvenor on further environmental initiatives at the centre.
