Carbon Management
Carbon and Energy are inextricably linked and so with expenditure.
Our approach to both carbon and energy projects is not only ethical but also financial, Aardvark consider that carbon is a very effective business management tool to reduce energy and fossil fuel use as well as develop cleaner energy solutions.
We provide solutions that better manage and use energy as well as specific programmes to design, integrate and build energy efficient systems.
Aardvark’s knowledge, spanning 17 years of energy technologies and construction techniques enables commercial and public partners to identify and develop cleaner energy projects. With our experience in embedded energy, renewables and energy efficiency Aardvark can provide project provide development, design, permitting and management services.
Aardvark back this technical service up with highly trained staff in Energy Performance Certification and GHG inventory assessments. We recognise that to provide good commercial and hence climate based reduction programmes good quality consistent data is key, this will be increasing important for forth coming legislation detailed in the UK Climate Bill and the Carbon Reduction Commitment.
To that end we normally undertake inventory work to ISOI 14064 standards and have developed the TC2 programme to provide a complete solution to assessment, reduction planning/delivery and ongoing monitoring to deliver real and measurable financial and carbon reductions.
We are highly experienced in developing commercial climate reduction and adaptation programmes for UK and Multinational companies.
We worked on the steering group that set up the UK Emissions Trading Scheme (UK ETS) in 2000. We currently work with a number of companies in both the voluntary and compulsory ETS scheme both in the UK and Europe providing annual and ongoing assessments, reviews on reduction and offsetting options and working with them to develop long term strategies that enable them to remain competitive.
We are climate neutral ourselves, our preferred approach being green power purchasing, use of secondary biofuels for the companies vehicles, investing in overseas social carbon projects.
