Magnus MowatMagnus has extensive experience of corporate financial planning, strategy and control. He has worked for some major financial institutions and now is a Non-Executive Director of a number of public and private companies operating both in the UK and Overseas. Magnus will provide sound financial stewardship for the company as it grows in the years ahead.

Managing Director - Mark Clayton BSc Hons MCIWEM MBIAC MRI

Mark ClaytonMark, is a graduate of Imperial College, Wye Faculty and has a degree in Environmental Science. He established the company in 1997 to provide environmental innovation to all forms of industry, agriculture and marine based projects. Within the first 2 years Aardvark won a DTI Smart Innovation Award for its work in developing low cost oil clean up systems.

Mark has worked both in the UK and overseas and has extensive experience in wastes, renewable energy and water. He is qualified as a BREEAM for Offices Assessor.

Director - Nick Leaney BSc Hons MRICS FRGS

Nick LeaneyNick is a qualified Chartered Surveyor with over 15 years of experience in the commercial property sector. He was previously with Strutt and Parker where he was a Partner in their commercial division based at Head Office. His areas of expertise lie in commercial & residential property advising landlords, developers and tenants on their occupational property and investment strategies.

Nick heads up the company's sustainable development and renewable energy team providing expert advice for the property sector and is a qualified BREEAM for Offices Assessor.

Part of Nick's role is to build on the important pivotal link between the property industry and the core environmental skills that Aardvark can deliver.

Non Executive Director & Deputy Chairman - John Stace

John Stace

John Stace retired from active life in the City of London in 2004 and returned to New Zealand in February 2005.

Today John is, Deputy Chairman of Triplejump Limited, New Zealands first multi agency Life Insurance Franchise Company, Deputy Chairman of 3R Group Limited, a pioneering NZ Co in Product Stewardship, a member of the Board of Equestrian Sports New Zealand (“ESNZ”), a Trustee of The Woodford House Foundation and a Director of the Kiwi Expat Association Incorporated, “KEA”. He is  a Trustee of The Tank Museum, Bovington in Dorset.

His career in London was centred on financial services and more particularly Lloyd’s of London. He built Stace Barr Limited into the then largest capital provider to Lloyd’s (one billion pounds being circa 9% of Lloyd’s market) and was one of the first to introduce Corporate Capital to Lloyd’s and the first CEO of Angerstein Underwriting Trust (now Amlin plc). He was Deputy Chairman of Lloyd’s of London in 1995 and 1996. Served on the original Lloyd’s Market Board and on Lloyd’s Regulatory Board. For three years Chairman of Lloyd’s Charities Trust. He was Master of The Worshipful Company of World Traders, a City of London Livery Company, in 2002-2003.

From 2004 to 2009 a member of the Board of NZTE’s Beachhead Programme and the Founding Chairman of Beachhead UK.

From 2004 to 2009 a Vice President Save the Children UK.

From 2006 to 2009 a Director of New Zealand SOE Genesis Power Ltd and latterly a member of the Audit Committee.

Non Executive Director - Andy Olie

Andy Olie

Andy was Managing Director of Wyvern Waste Services Limited up until 2006 and has considerable experience in the waste sector, in operations, management as well as in business development and planning.  Today, Andy runs Monksleigh Group providing business advice to small waste management companies.  Projects include strategy and market review for alternative energy from waste company, strategy review for secondary aggregate company, and small waste and recycling business advice.

His skills and experience complement Aardvark's professional team and as well as his role as a NED we anticipate that we will be working together on a number of waste orientated projects on behalf of clients.

Senior Environmental Consultant - Phil Cookson BSc Hons MSc

Chris BinniePhil is a post-graduate in Land & Water Resource Management and graduate of Geography and European Studies & French

Over the last 15 years, Phil has successfully delivered many, varied environmental projects, secured & provided corporate and public funding, formulated strategies and drafted policies to promote and deliver sustainable rural development across the UK and overseas.

Phil brings his considerable experience to Aardvark from working for, and managing change within, government agencies, charities and voluntary organisations with a specific remit to drive forward the Energy & Carbon side of the business.

Phil is a qualified Code for Sustainable Homes assessor.

Environmental Scientist - Laura McKecknie MSci FGS MICE

Laura ErringtonLaura has a Masters in Environmental Geology from Imperial College London. Before joining Aardvark, Laura worked for Peter Brett Associates and brings key hydrogeology and flood risk assessment skills as well as a good commercial understanding of environmental legislation and regulation to the Aardvark team.

Environmental Scientist - Adam Robbins MSc AMI BIOL AIEMA

Adam RobbinsAdam has a degree from the University of Wales in Zoology and a Masters in Environmental Impact Assessment. Before joining Aardvark, Adam worked as a senior keeper at Howletts Wild Animal Park and Newquay Zoo where he also undertook research into the environmental impact effects of zoological collections in the UK building on his work for his masters dissertation. Adam also has extensive fieldwork experience, most recently with the Somerset Environmental Records Centre (SERC).

Senior Consultant - Simon Dowse BSc Hons MRICS

Simon Dowse

Simon is a Chartered Surveyor with 15 years experience in both the commercial and residential property sectors. He was previously with Connells Survey & Valuation carrying out mortgage valuations and providing energy performance certificates (EPCs) for residential properties. His commercial property experience includes business rates valuations, agency and management of a wide range of property types.

Simon is an Affiliate member of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers and a Level 4 Commercial Energy Assessor. He can produce EPCs on commercial property and carry out compliance checks in respect of the latest building regulations concerning conservation of fuel and power. He is part of the Energy & Carbon team specialising in the energy efficiency of property and carbon management

We are looking for a full time Team Secretary/Administrative Assistant to join our young, friendly Somerset based team.

You will be responsible for the smooth running of the front of house, answering incoming calls, dealing with enquires, meeting, greeting and looking after clients and visitors. You will provide administrative project support to the Directors and Professional Staff, data entry, draft and type correspondence and assist with financial procedures.

You will also help with any events, marketing, presentations or special projects Aardvark may be organising
