BEN GILPIN

PRINCIPAL PLANNING CONSULTANT

Ben is a Chartered Town Planner with more than 20 years of practical experience across both the public and private sectors. Following qualification from the University of Nottingham in the 1990's, he has since worked in Land Acquisition / Residential Development, Telecommunications Planning, Outdoor Advertising Planning and Renewable Energy Planning.

He joined the Aardvark team in 2025 as a Principal Planning Consultant, following a period of 12 years managing his own business and providing contract planning services to Local Authorities across the south and west of England.

He has qualified experience in acting as lead consultant and advising on planning and development matters in respect of a wide range of large scale / major development proposals across a variety of sectors notably Renewable Energy (Solar PV and Anaerobic Digestion), as well as acting as Senior Officer for Local Authorities on Waste Management, Minerals and Infrastructure developments.
